The team at our Tilford Care and Nursing Home in Rushmoor, near Farnham, are celebrating after being rated ‘Good’ in all areas by The Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The CQC’s report saw the home rated ‘Good’ in all five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Well-Led, and Responsive – certifying Tilford with an overall ‘Good’ rating.
The home was assessed by CQC inspectors on 4th September, with a report published on 12th December.
The report recognised how the management team at Tilford had created a safe and positive environment for everyone who lives and works at the home.

Building a safe future together
Tilford Registered Manager Lisa Kirtland was pleased that the inspectors observed kind and thoughtful interactions between her care team and the residents.
Most importantly, CQC inspectors spoke to several residents and their families who described the home as safe, clean, responsive and communicative.
One relative of a resident living at Tilford told inspectors:
“I find it wonderful. We’ve had no safeguarding concerns at all since he’s been here.”
Furthermore, a visiting healthcare professional told inspectors:
“The people here always seem happy when I speak to them and never raise any concerns.”

Tilford Care Home Registered Manager Lisa Kirtland said:

Proud to go the extra mile
Lisa has been at Tilford since 2020 and is especially proud of her team’s efforts over the Christmas period to bring festive joy to the residents.
Since early December, Tilford has seen a whirlwind of activity ranging from live music, carol singing, bingo and even a memorable afternoon spent decorating gingerbread houses!
