We are excited to be opening a new live-in care regional head office in Harrogate, North Yorkshire this spring. This office will host our fourth regional team (joining our existing teams covering South-West, Central and South-East) co-ordinating high-quality yet affordable 24-hour care services for people living in the North of England.
With live-in care becoming increasingly popular, we felt the time was right to extend our successful service. Establishing a team in the Harrogate regional head office will give us a local, professional team on the ground, able to match even more clients to our experienced care team members.
A particularly safe form of care
The COVID pandemic has demonstrated that live-in care is a particularly safe form of care in a time of restrictions and with people looking for effective ways to reduce their risk of infection. With live-in care, a professional care worker comes to live with you, supporting you with 24-hour homecare in the safety and comfort of your own home.
Live-in care gives you complete control over who comes into your home. Your live-in care worker can support you with everything from personal care through to making sure you are eating well and taking your medication at the right time. They can also take care of household chores and getting the shopping in – ideal if you are shielding.
High satisfaction with our response to COVID
Earlier this month we asked clients, families and friends to tell us how they were feeling at the present time, and for their views on how we are doing. A service tailored to your needs
There’s no ‘one size fits all’ with our live-in care service. The level of support your care worker gives you is entirely tailored to your needs and your situation. We have live-in care workers supporting people who are living with dementia, cerebral palsy, or who simply want the companionship of someone who’s friendly and capable.
We take care of everything
Our regional office teams support care workers and clients to make sure both are happy with their situation. One of the great things about having live-in care services from Agincare is that our team takes care of everything.
We employ the care worker, so you don’t need to worry about paying them direct or finding a suitable replacement when your care worker takes a holiday. You are safe in the knowledge that our service is fully regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission.
What our clients say about our service
Our clients regularly feed back to us on our live-in care service. We ask clients and their families for their views in our annual satisfaction survey. The results of the 2020 survey were especially heartening, given the unprecedented impact of the global COVID pandemic from March last year.
Clients told us overwhelmingly (97%) that our service helps them feel in control of their daily life. The same number of people were satisfied with our service, with 95% of respondents agreeing that they feel comfortable and safe with their care worker.
We also follow up on individual stories of life-affirming and inspiring client/care workers relationships:
- One such example is the story of Caroline, who has Alzheimer’s. Caroline’s care worker took the time to patiently build a connection with her.
- Another amazing relationship is told in the story of Connie, whose care worker Elena practically became one of the family. Elena supported Connie to live independently at home, surrounded by her possessions, and with her friends able to call round and see her.
