We are excited to share some fantastic news from one of our care homes in Somerset—Beaufort Park. They recently achieved an outstanding victory in the Britain in Bloom competition, and we couldn’t be more proud!
Award-Winning Gardens
In the latest Britain in Bloom awards, Beaufort House took 1st place in the Residential & Nursing Home category and was awarded the prestigious Cybil Norris Shield for 1st place in the commercial category.
This recognition came as a complete surprise to the team, who were only informed when they were presented with the shields and certificates. It’s a true testament to the hard work and dedication that goes into maintaining their beautiful gardens, led by our talented gardener, Sarah.
Residents at the Heart of It All
The achievements didn’t end there!
Two of Beaufort House’s residents, Ken and Janet, earned 2nd place in the Commercial Hanging Baskets category. This accomplishment was the result of a wonderful team effort. Rachel, the Activities Coordinator, along with Jay, took Ken and Janet to Saunders Garden Centre, where they personally selected the flowers for the hanging baskets. Back at Beaufort House, they enjoyed a fun and creative afternoon planting together with Rachel and Sarah, turning it into a memorable activity for everyone.
