Life in our nursing homes
24-hour a day specialist nursing care
Our nursing homes have a dedicated care team which includes registered nurses who are on duty round-the-clock. These nurses are qualified to provide the same level of care (such as administering certain medicines and treating complex wounds) that district nurses do during their visits to our care homes.
This means that our nursing homes are well-suited for people living with a long-term illness or medical condition needing regular nursing support.
Support for daily living
Our nursing homes enable you to continue to live life your way with as much or little support that you need to carry on doing the things you love most. Whether you are partaking in activities or enjoying a quiet tea time, we are there to lend a helping hand 24-hours a day. We can support you with personal care, mobility, eating and drinking, or even just provide a little companionship.

You’re in good hands
We are very happy with the care our mum receives at Tilford Care & Nursing Home. There are always plenty of staff to tend to the needs of residents. Everyone is very helpful and our questions are always answered very quickly and efficiently. We are always kept informed of any changes to Mum’s health and the medication she receives. Our mum seems happy and settled so we’re happy too.
Tilford Care and Nursing Home – Karen B (Daughter of Resident, 2024)
The utmost care was given to my mum-in-law in the short time she was in the Nightingale. She was happy and content in the knowledge she was being so very well looked after. As a family, we were kept informed every step of the way, i.e. if she was unwell or the staff had any concerns. The atmosphere in the home is very happy, and the staff are all approachable. They are all our guardian angels. Thank you for everything.
Nightingale Care and Nursing Home – Glenda A (Daughter-in-law of Resident, 2024)
My mother moved with us to Hampshire in August. Finding good quality care was essential because my mother had complex care needs and I wasn’t in a position to offer her 24/7 nursing care. We found Agincare, Gorseway Nursing Home Hayling Island and a vacancy was available just when we needed it to. Now my mother lives a two-minute drive from us and I see her regularly the staff are very caring and professional. Together we have navigated through some difficult times to get my mother stable and settled – which she is! I could not have done this without them we are incredibly grateful we have no hesitation in recommending this nursing home.
Gorseway Park Retirement Village – N V (Daughter of Resident, 2023)
My father took up residence at St Peter’s Park for end of life care. His room and facilities were excellent. The nurses and carers who looked after Dad were brilliant, compassionate and caring through to the end of his life. My sister and I knew that he was in safe hands at all times, which gave us great comfort. The care and professionalism of the management and staff is truly exemplary and I can’t praise them enough.
St Peter’s Park Retirement Village – Marilyn D (Daughter of Resident, 2023)
I was used to walking over 5,000 steps a day but following an accident I was unable to walk at all. Even after 7 weeks in hospital, my walking was severely limited and, thankfully, I was transferred to the Avon Unit. Everyone at the unit was extremely kind and worked together as a team to facilitate my recovery to become more and more independent.

Why an Agincare nursing home?
Since 1986 our care and nursing homes have been trusted by thousands of families, the NHS, and local authorities nationwide to deliver reliable, high-quality care. Our bespoke, fully-managed service is regulated by the CQC.
We’ve set up regular shift patterns to keep your care consistent and reliable. Our wonderful team of care workers and nurses stick to these schedules, so you always know who to expect at certain times, giving you the chance to build warm and positive relationships with the familiar faces of your caregiving team.
In our care and nursing homes, we strongly encourage you to maintain your independence and continue engaging in your daily activities. We are here to support you in pursuing the things you love, offering care and support only when and if you need it.
You will be served freshly prepared home cooked meals by our team of expert chefs. They ensure all our meals are healthy, nutritionally balanced and, most importantly, locally sources wherever possible.
We have a family portal that allows you and your loved ones to check and support your care plan at any time, 24/7, regardless of your location in the world. This ensures that, no matter where you are, you have the ability to access information about your loved one’s care.
We deliver high-quality dementia care and engaging activities for mental stimulation. Exercise and activities can have a positive impact on individuals living with dementia, boosting moods and stimulating the mind, ultimately improving mental health.
Our homes are thoughtfully designed to display a comforting, home-like atmosphere. We’ve intentionally avoided a clinical interior, ensuring that every element is chosen to make you feel truly at home.
All our care homes have a team of highly-trained professionals who can support you whatever your situation. They are passionate about what they do and are dedicated to ensuring you always feel confident and supported.
We offer a full pathway of services that includes care homes, nursing homes, live-in care, home care and supported living. That means that, when you are supported by Agincare, you will never need to change care provider, even if your needs increase.

Living in a care and nursing home shouldn’t change your schedule. That’s why we don’t have set visiting times for family and friends. Your loved ones are welcome any time of the day and can even join you for a meal in our dining areas.
Many people living in our care and nursing homes receive regular visits from family and friends, who will often join in with daily activities, enjoy a cup of tea, or take their loved one out for the day.
We’re proud that the CQC has rated and regulated all of our care and nursing homes.
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. They inspect and regulate different care services, including care and nursing homes, home care and live-in care. They base their inspection on five key questions: Are they safe? Are they effective? Are they caring? Are they responsive to people’s’ needs? And are they well-led?
We’re proud that the CQC has rated and regulated all of our care and nursing homes to provide you with the confidence that we deliver high-quality care which is of a high standard.
All reports can be found on the CQC website.
We offer tailored 24-hour a day respite care in our care and nursing homes that allows you to continue living life your way with as much support you may need from our professional care team.
This could be a one-off stay to give a regular family carer a much-needed break, or a routine arrangement to give you variety in your care. Our personalised care can last as long as you need it to and can start within 24-hours.
Funding may be available from your local authority. Before they can find out, they will need to carry out a needs assessment and financial assessment to determine whether they can contribute to the cost of your care.
Not sure where to begin? Our team of care advisors are here to help you through that process. They can support you to apply for funding and recommend the best level of care to suit your needs.
