This is the first home Mum has gone into. My first contact regarding my worries about Mum was with the Deputy Manager. Instantly I became less worried. She put my mind at rest on so many issues and questions I had. I found her to be very competent with her knowledge and skills showing a great deal of experience she has. The Deputy Manager always had time for my questions and was extremely efficient with feedback. Having this kind of approachable personality wanting to put my and my family’s mind at rest. Also, the carers are well-mannered and respectable with the residents.

Mum was a resident of Rochester Care Home for nearly 6 years. I cannot thank the manager and her wonderful team enough for all they did for her while she was there. She could not have been in a better place for the last years of her life. As a family, we have got to know the staff as dear friends who have always greeted us with a cheery smile and ‘gone that extra mile’ for all involved. Mum spent the last two weeks of her life receiving palliative care. She was treated with dignity and compassion. My family have felt very supported by the manager and her staff during this difficult time for which we are truly thankful. We cannot praise Rochester Care Home enough for the work they do.

As soon as I stepped inside the Nursing Home I sensed a friendly caring atmosphere, and I knew that my husband would be well looked after and in safe hands. The staff could not be more professional and helpful to both my husband and myself and nothing too much bother for them. Every resident has their own room and is encouraged to bring personal belongings to make it their home. I can relax knowing that my husband is being cared for 24/7.

My family member lived at the care home for a number of years, and I honestly don’t know what we would have done, as a family, without them. They were so supportive of our family as well as providing above and beyond care to my family member. I will always recommend this wonderful home to anyone!
(August 2024)
My grandad has been a resident for three weeks and the positive change in his mental health and wellbeing has been exponential. He feels safe and cared for and I am secure in the fact he is receiving quality care. The staff have been supportive and what could have been a stressful transition has in fact been surprisingly easy. I am grateful to all staff and residents who have made this more a pleasure for my grandad.
(August 2024)
My mum has been a resident for the last 2 and a bit years and during that time I have seen a huge improvement in her overall physical health. She has actually put weight on as she is getting 3 good meals a day unlike when she was living on her own, and she excepts help now when there’s a medical issue and let’s the staff get her the help that is needed medically. Before she went in she would refuse any intervention. The accommodation is very nice, the rooms are adequate for her needs, the garden area is very nice, and she has made friends. The staff are always professional and caring and residents are treated with the utmost dignity, the food is good, and plenty of it. A massive thank you to ALL the staff.

Why an Agincare home?
Since 1986 our care and nursing homes have been trusted by thousands of families, local authorities nationwide and the NHS to deliver reliable, high-quality care. Our bespoke, fully-managed service is regulated by the CQC.
We’ve set up regular shift patterns to keep your care consistent and reliable. Our wonderful team of caregivers and nurses stick to these schedules, so you always know who to expect at certain times. This predictability not only ensures continuous care but also gives you the chance to build warm and positive relationships with the familiar faces of your caregiving team.
In our homes, we strongly encourage you to maintain your independence and continue engaging in your daily activities. We are here to support you in pursuing the things you love, offering care and support only when and if you need it.
You will be served freshly prepared home cooked meals by our team of expert chefs. They ensure all our meals are healthy, nutritionally balanced and, most importantly, locally sources wherever possible.
We have a family portal that allows you and your loved ones to check and support your care plan at any time, 24/7, regardless of your location in the world. This ensures that, no matter where you are, you have the ability to access information about your loved one’s care.
We deliver high-quality dementia care and engaging activities for mental stimulation. Exercise and activities can have a positive impact on individuals living with dementia, boosting moods and stimulating the mind, ultimately improving mental health.
Our homes are thoughtfully designed to display a comforting, home-like atmosphere. We’ve intentionally avoided a clinical interior, ensuring that every element is chosen to make you feel truly at home.
All our care homes have a team of highly-trained professionals who can support you whatever your situation. They are passionate about what they do and are dedicated to ensuring you always feel confident and supported.
We offer a full pathway of services that includes care homes, nursing homes, home care, live-in care and supported living. That means that, when you are supported by Agincare, you will never need to change care provider, even if your needs increase.
Frequently asked questions
Our care home fees start from £895 per week. This price includes accommodation, 24-hour tailored residential or nursing care, all meals, laundry and a range of activities and outings. This is cheaper than full time live-in care at home which can cost as much as £1,100 per week excluding meals, activities and district nurse visits.
An exact quote for our homes is dependent on a free, no obligation care assessment once you have visited the home of your choice.
Both residential and nursing provide 24-hour accommodation in a purpose built setting where care and support is provided by a team of highly trained professionals. Those living in care and nursing homes receive tailored care, meals, a laundry service, and regular planned activities.
The only difference is in the level of support provided. Our nursing homes have a dedicated care team which includes registered nurses who are on duty round-the-clock. These nurses are qualified to provide the same level of care (such as administering certain medicines and treating complex wounds) that district nurses do during their visits to our care homes.
This means that our nursing homes are well-suited for people with a long-term illness or medical condition needing regular nursing support.
Living in a care home shouldn’t change your schedule. That’s why we don’t have set visiting times for family and friends. Your loved ones are welcome any time of the day and can even join you for a meal in our dining areas.
Many people living in our care and nursing homes receive regular visits from family and friends, who will often join in with daily activities, enjoy a cup of tea, or take their loved one out for the day.
We’re proud that the CQC has rated and regulated all of our care and nursing homes.
The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. They inspect and regulate different care services, including care and nursing homes, home care and live-in care. They base their inspection on five key questions: Are they safe? Are they effective? Are they caring? Are they responsive to people’s’ needs? And are they well-led?
All reports can be found on the CQC website.
We offer tailored 24-hour a day respite care in our care and nursing homes that allows you to continue living life your way with as much support you may need from our care team.
This could be a one-off stay, to give a regular family carer a much-needed break, or a regular arrangement to give you variety in your care. Our personalised care can last as long as you need it to and can start within 24-hours.
Funding may be available from your local authority. Before they can find out, they will need to carry out a needs assessment and financial assessment to determine whether they can contribute to the cost of your care.
Not sure where to begin? Our team of care advisors are here to help you through that process. They can support you to apply for funding and recommend the best level of care to suit your needs.
We know how important our companionships with our fluffy friends are. Not only are they part of the family, they also help with mental and physical well-being. This is why we make every effort to keep you and your pets together when you join us.
