This service is designed to support apprentices at all stages of their training and career development. Whether you’re just starting out, progressing through your apprenticeship, or preparing for your next career move, our experienced team is here to help. We understand that each apprentice’s journey is unique, and we tailor our advice and guidance to meet your specific needs.
No, you do not need to have GCSEs to apply for an apprenticeship. Our range of apprenticeship courses includes level 3 which is equivalent to an A-level.
To be eligible for an apprenticeship, you must:
– Have the right to work in the UK.
– Be 16 years or older after the last Friday in June of the academic year.
– Not be enrolled on another apprenticeship, or another funded FE/HE programme at the same time as the apprenticeship.
– Have a contract of employment with your employer and be paid at least the apprenticeship wage in your first year
All Agincare team members have access to free apprenticeships, short courses and e-learning modules, provided by our in-house training specialists, Training Now.
In addition to this, our care workers complete mandatory training and refresher courses on modules such as:
– Medication Management
– Information Governance
– Infection control
– Moving and Handling
– Safeguarding Adults at Risk
Whatever your career ambitions, Training Now can support you to take the next step; providing opportunities to gain the qualifications and skills you need.

You’ll earn while you learn, which includes 20% paid on-the-job training during your contracted hours.
The apprenticeship wage is currently as follows:
– Age 21 or over (National Living Wage): £11.44
– Age 18 to 20: £8.60
– Under 18: £6.40
